The first Polish Playmate to be featured as a centerfold, Miss December 2012 Amanda Streich is hard to forget. She was also the youngest Playmate to become a Playmate of the Month. Streich was born on May 26, 1993 in the historical city of Plock, Poland. Before she graced the pages of Playboy, Streich was a competitive swimmer for over 10 years. The breaststroke was her specialty. She entered the Miss Teen Poland competition during her swimming days and it proved to be a smart move. She was only 17 when she placed second in the competition, but she ended up coming out on top anyway. Streich’s classic looks and perfect model figure caught the attention of an American talent agency as the competition came to a close.
She was flown out to New York City to begin her career as a model — a dream come true for the future Playmate. Her hard work and dedication really paid off, especially when Muse Modeling started representing her. She has shot for big names like Victoria’s Secret, Shape, Calvin Klein, Guess by Marciano, EGO Magazine, Safari Magazine and several other notable fashion brands and publications. Being Miss December 2012 is, of course, another milestone in Streich’s career.
Streich now calls New York City her home and loves the feeling of being in the big city. “New York is my dream-come-true town because it has such energy and magic. I don’t like leaving it for even one night,” she told Playboy. One of her favorite spots in New York City is Central Park. The only time this Polish Playmate likes leaving the city is to see her family back in Plock. Among the many pictures of her on Instagram are behind-the-scenes of her photo shoots, pictures of her home country and her hanging with her family.
This Playmate is an ambitious one. She values education and modeling and wants to “live life with no regrets.” She has traveled all over the world for fashion shoots and runway shows, and she even lived in Tokyo for two months. Her Playboy pictorial for December 2012 is still a favorite of Streich’s. “Usually I don’t recognize myself in photos because of all of the makeup and Photoshopping,” Streich told Playboy. “But my pictorial looks so natural. I love that it shows the real me.”
