Amber Campisi, Playboy’s Miss February 2005, has long brown hair, brown eyes, a curvy body, and an appreciation for the finer things. “I’m a romantic,” she told Playboy. “I love good food, wine, and conversation.”
It’s no surprise. She was raised in a candlelit Italian restaurant. Amber is the daughter of a Dallas restaurateur, and when she’s not modeling she’s a manager at the family-owned Campisi’s Restaurant, where Jack Ruby had dinner the night before he shot Lee Harvey Oswald. “My grandfather was interviewed by the Warren Commission and everything,” she said.
Amber came to Playboy in 2003 when she tried out for the 50th Anniversary Playmate Hunt. “My customers at the restaurant told me I should try out,” she said. “I was done with school, and I thought, why not? I was one of the first girls in line.”
Hugh Hefner offered her the centerfold, an offer that the business manager in her couldn’t refuse. Following her feature in Playboy, Amber appeared on The Girls Next Door, Bridget’s Sexiest Beaches, and was Kendra’s roommate and later her bridesmaid on Kendra. She acted in the 2014 horror film The Houses October Built.
These days she’s back in Dallas and set to inherit the family restaurant. “We’ve been open for more than 50 years, and I’ll be the first woman to run the business,” she said proudly.
She hopes to one day pass the restaurant down to her children. As for who’ll father those children, Amber told Playboy she likes athletic men and redheads and that she’s turned on by “someone who is confident but not cocky.” Her turn-offs? Cheaters, liars, and people who can’t make her laugh.
