Bold and determined are two words that describe Amy Leigh Andrews, April 2010 Playmate of the Month. This Georgia peach—she hails from small-town Conyers, near Atlanta—loves travel and the excitement of new people and experiences.
When she was just 19 Amy embarked on a backpacking trip through Europe with a friend. “I want to travel the world,” she told Playboy. She found a passion for meeting new people and sampling local food and wine. “I think I have a case of wanderlust,” she said.
Amy is a graduate of Georgia State University. Her interests include fashion merchandising, modeling and acting. She feels she has a knack for communicating in many different types of media—film, television, and photography to name a few.
Amy has been featured in commercials for Bavaria Beer and Allstate Insurance. A dog lover, she has appeared on Cesar Milan’s “Dog Whisperer” television show as well as season five of “The Girls Next Door,” a reality television series about the women of the Playboy mansion.
Playboy has long figured large in her life. According to Amy she started reading her grandfather’s stash of Playboy magazines as a young girl and felt inspired to someday become a Playmate herself.
A Playboy open-casting call in Atlanta was her big break. She was featured in Playboy Special Edition magazines and was Coed of the Week and Month in 2008 before being named a Playmate.
When she is not modeling Amy loves to listen to classic rock. The Eagles and the Dave Matthews Band are favorites. Movies she likes include “True Romance,” starring Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette. She is a fan of outdoor concerts—maybe with her favorite drink, a Jack and Coke.
