Angel Boris is Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for July 1996. Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, her parents named her Angel because they believe she is a gift from God. A year before her birth, a 450-pound drum fell on her father. He stayed in the hospital for 11 months with severe injuries and eventually recovered. Nine months after he was discharged Angel was born.
Angel loved to perform while growing up. She competed in a number of beauty pageants as a child and won hundreds of trophies. She appeared in a few local commercials, which led to a love of acting. She attended a performing arts high school to study drama, dance, and vocals.
After high school Angel pursued work acting and modeling. Her first breakthrough came when she won a Hawaiian Tropic bikini contest. This led to her first appearance in Playboy in the April 1995 feature “Girls of Hawaiian Tropic.” Her look impressed Hugh Hefner, and he invited her to become a Playmate. She made a number of videos with Playboy and competed on a special all-Playmate edition of Fear Factor. She finished second to Miss February 2001 Lauren Hill.
Her appearance in Playboy opened doors for Angel. After a guest-starring part on the TV series Viper, she appeared as a recurring character in Season Eight of Beverly Hills 90210. This led to parts in independent films including starring roles in 1999’s Suicide Blonde and Warlock III: The End of Innocence. In 2001 she guest-starred on General Hospital, which led to her being cast in the film March with some of her fellow soap opera stars. She continued finding acting work in a number of television shows including Grounded for Life, Las Vegas, and King of Queens.
During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Angel revealed she once hooked up with actor Owen Wilson, but they never dated. She is currently married to celebrity trainer Marco Reed, with whom she has three kids. The couple currently lives in Los Angeles. She loves yoga, reading, and cooking during her free time.
