Angela Dorian, Playboy’s Miss September 1967, went on to be named Playmate of the Year 1968. Angela was born in San Francisco with the name Victoria Vetri, and her parents were Italian immigrants. She told Playboy, “My father, who was born in Sicily, owns a restaurant, and my mother, who grew up in Rome, is a singer. My father is still old-world in many ways!” Angela attended Hollywood High School in Hollywood, California, and studied art at Los Angeles City College before beginning her acting career.
After posing for Playboy, Angela acted in the movies Rosemary’s Baby, When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth, Group Marriage, and Invasion of the Bee Girls. Despite telling Playboy, “I hate TV and don’t own one,” Angela made guest appearances on many TV shows, including The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Run for Your Life, Hogan’s Heroes, The Big Valley, Perry Mason, Bonanza, Batman, Star Trek, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, and Mission Impossible.
Angela listed her turn-ons for Playboy: “men, sports cars, and cats.” Her turnoffs include “women who wear hair curlers in public.” Her ideal evening? “Dancing, midnight dinner, then to the beach for soft words and mush!”
