It’s been said that the only constant in life is change. That is certainly true of men’s hair and grooming trends. You can look at a photo in a history book and know when it was taken based solely on the coiffes that the men are wearing. From the middle parts of the 1920s to the pompadours of the 1950s, men’s haircuts have constantly evolved.

That is readily apparent in this new video from the YouTube channel WatchCut Video. In just under a minute and a half, one model receives the most popular haircut and the accompanying facial hair of each decade since the 1910s. It’s an excellent visual timeline that was put together to celebrate Movember. What’s particularly interesting is how many of the popular hairdos live on today. While the unfortunate man bun may be the most popular style of the 2010s, you can still find plenty of men rocking the styles of the ‘20s (these tend to be mixologists with an affinity for suspenders), '40s, '50s, '70s, and '90s.
