According to a new Gallup poll, fifty-eight percent of Americans are now in favor of legalizing marijuana. That’s the highest level of support for legal weed to date.
Gallup began asking the question in 1969. At that time, only 12 percent of Americans were in favor of legalization.
On a side note, it seems that America’s acceptance of pot is inversely proportional to its trust in Congress, which now hovers just above 12 percent.
Of course, correlation does not imply causation, blah, blah, blah. I just thought it was a funny coincidence.
I’m so high right now.
