The female orgasm can be a complicated thing. Luckily for us, the people over at POPSUGAR curated information from a bunch of studies and research initiatives to give us some information we might not already know, but should definitely know.

Size Matters.

A study out of Scotland maintains that women climax more easily with men who have larger penises. “Larger” apparently begins at a 5.8 inch erection.

Women Have Premature Orgasms.

This seems very unlikely, but a Portuguese study found that 40 percent of women get off more quickly than intended during sex. And for 3 percent of women, it’s a chronic problem.

Better Communication Leads to Better Sex.

The intelligent cats over at Johns Hopkins University found that sex is far more enjoyable for people who listen, understand another person’s emotions, and empathize with the person with whom they’re sharing a bed.

It’s Possible for a Woman to Orgasm Every Time.

A 2009 study found that 11 percent of women orgasm every time they have sex. However, 11 percent of women said they had never gotten off.

Most Women Fake It

A Temple University study found that about 60 percent of women have faked an orgasm during intercourse or oral sex. But dudes fake it, too, the study said.

Exercise Can Cause Orgasms

This is probably the best reason I can think of to do CrossFit. Indiana University researchers found that exercise triggers orgasms, and that about 15 percent of women can come while working out. They call it a “coregasm.”
