Sure, America has its problems. But thanks to 7-Eleven, getting ice cream and condoms delivered to your home is no longer one of them.
The ubiquitous convenience store chain is teaming with DoorDash to provide delivery service in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, with plans to expand to Washington, D.C., and Boston in the coming months.
“We’re proud to launch our first expansion beyond restaurants with 7‑Eleven,” said Tony Xu, CEO and co-founder of DoorDash. “We’ve worked closely throughout the testing process to ensure that their products – from convenience goods to fresh and prepared foods – are well suited for delivery.”
In addition to delivering some items you would normally find at a 7‑Eleven, customers can choose from a variety of pre-made “packs” depending on which option best suits their needs. For example, the “Date Night Pack” includes Ben & Jerry’s chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, a Hershey’s bar, a can of Red Bull, a pack of Trident gum, and a three-pack of Trojan Ultra Thin condoms. All that’s missing is some lube and a pack of beef jerky to offer her after you’ve finished (it’s common courtesy).
If getting laid isn’t your thing, and you’re more interested in drinking alone until you pass out in your own filth, perhaps the “Hangover Pack” is more your speed. It features a fruit punch Gatorade, a pepperoni pizza, and a smoked turkey and pepper jack sandwich, because nothing beats hangover nausea like convenience store cold cuts.
