Last night America got an extended pass to celebrate the 4th of July when the U.S. Women’s National team dusted Japan to secure a third World Cup title. After taking a stunning four-goal lead in the first 15 minutes the squad bunkered in and secured a 5-2 score to win the title in front of millions of Americans.

After the final whistlemcaptain Abby Wambach, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and veteran of two previous World Cups, ran over to the sidelines to find her wife Sarah Huffman and kiss her as a World Champion.
