The Australian Election Commission has removed the official registration status of the Australian Sex Party, and its members are calling Bullsh*t on the Government’s reasoning for it.

Incase you hadn’t figured it out already, the Australian Sex Party is a political party and not an actual sex party.

The group was registered in 2009 and is known primarily for its titillating name and libertarian-leaning policies, such as “legalized abortion, gay rights, voluntary euthanasia, the legalization of cannabis for recreational use along with the decriminalization of all other drugs for recreational use.”

Just because you have slogans like, “The Australian Sex Party: where you come first” and “We’re serious about sex,” doesn’t mean you’re not a real political party. Regardless, the AEC claimed that the group had fallen below the 500 member threshold required to maintain its status as a political party, so its members took to Twitter to prove that exist.
