Alexandra Daddario plays Summer Quinn in the Baywatch movie, and in an interview on the Australian radio station WSFM, she talked about the challenges of acting in a swimsuit. According to the Daily Mail, she and costar Zac Efron visited Australia to promote the movie, which comes out May 25.

Daddario said, “For two months you are basically a slave to shaving and laser hair removal and waxing and tanning and dieting, and you have to stay on a certain regimen, but it’s all for your role. It wasn’t a bad thing. It was just, that was part of my job.” Watch the full interview.

Daddario is on the cover of the June issue of Women’s Health, and she talked to the magazine about working with Patrick Murphy, who also trains Efron, to get in shape for her Baywatch role. She worked out four or five days a week, and was so happy with the results, she continues to train with Murphy twice a week. She said, “For the first time in my life, I have real abs!”

Judging by the photos that have popped up on Instagram of Daddario and her fellow* Baywatch* actresses, Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera, all that hard work was total worth it:
