The fantasy world of Game of Thrones is, of course, made possible by visual effects, but we’re not just talking about dragons and ice zombies. Someone has to design all those massive castles and temples and statues, build them in a computer, them seamlessly insert them into a real landscape. In this video, VFX studio Mackevision shows how they created stunning sights like the Titan of Braavos and the Great Sept of Baelor, and then placed them in live-action shots from the show’s Croatian locations.
