I’ve got some good news for Seattle residents who are too drunk to drive but sober enough to type. Amazon is now offering delivery of wine, beer and spirits to its Prime customers.
Two-hour delivery is free, but if you’ve really got the shakes, they’ll get it to you in an hour or less for an added fee of $7.99.
This is the first time the service has been available in the U.S. However, Amazon alcohol delivery is already available in London.
The prime membership program costs $99 per year, and offers subscribers delivery discounts and other services. In some cities, same-day delivery is also available through the program. Couple this new alcohol delivery service with Amazon Fresh grocery delivery, and there’s basically no longer any need to leave the house. If you ask me, indentured corporate servitude is a small price to pay for such convenience.
