May 11th through the 17th is American Craft Beer Week, where millions of Americans will head to their local breweries and sample some tasty IPAs. And while hipsters in Brooklyn like to think they’re the ones revolutionizing beer into an artform, there’s actually people throughout the United States that are helping change the brew game. Craftbeer.com assembled a map showing how each state has contributed to the craft beer phenomenon. Believe it or not, people in the South drink stuff other than moonshine.

There’s an interactive version of this map over at CraftBeer.com, where you can also find a list of events throughout the country to help celebrate this very important week. We’re guessing these outings will be a lot classier than those during Light Beer Week.
