In the wake of the recent terrorist attacks on Paris, the hacker collective known as Anonymous has declared war on ISIS. The declaration was made in a video posted online featuring a supposed Anonymous member wearing the groups’ trademark Guy Fawkes mask.
“These attacks cannot remain unpunished,” the man in the video said in French, according to Vice.com. “We are going to launch the biggest operation ever against you. Expect many cyber attacks. War has been declared. Get ready. We don’t forgive and we don’t forget.”
No matter how you feel about Anonymous, they are clearly preferable to Islamic Extremists. The problem is they already declared war on ISIS this past January. Apparently, it didn’t accomplish too much (other than this funny thong Photoshop).
And if Anonymous’s recent “war” with the Ku Klux Klan is any indication, we shouldn’t expect much more in the way of results this time around. That said, I hope I’m wrong.
