I have an issue with Snapchat and I’ll tell you why. When I first started out with social media, I started with Facebook and then Twitter. In my mind, Facebook was for friends/family, and Twitter was for celebs/athletes/comedians. I kept the two very separate and they had very different purposes. Then Instagram rolled around, which was obviously used mostly for following models and hot girls. Now I had three apps with three distinct purposes.
Somewhere along the line they all sort of merged together. I started friending and following celebs on Facebook, I started following friends on Twitter, and Instagram, well, Instagram is still for hot girls.
Then Snapchat started. I thought that Snapchat would for sure be used for friends/family/aquaintances because of how personal it was. I mean, this was people’s lives here, so of course I only wanted it for the people I cared about.
Then people like Ariel Winter had to go and ruin that. I mean, how am I NOT supposed to use Snapchat to follow hot girls and celebs when they’re posting content like THIS? You’re killing me, Ariel!
