When it comes to people you would like collegiate advice from, one of the best candidates is probably the guy who will become the world’s first trillionaire.

Gates took to Twitter on Monday to expand on a question that a great many young people might wonder. If you could start college today, what would you study? In classic Gates fashion it starts out as practical advice, but then quickly moves into advice about how to live a virtuous life.

This is the guy who went from building personal computers to personally leading a crusade against malaria, after all.

After all this advice, Bill reminds us that compared to other eras ours might be the one all of us are meant to be in. Clearly Bill is optimistic about what can be done with the tools available, which is something all college students need to hear.

So maybe Bill Nye won’t save the world, but maybe this other Bill will.
