If you went back to 2001 and told everyone Wet Hot American Summer would eventually get a Netflix prequel series, almost no one would’ve believed you. Now, it’s a cult classic, but then it was an indie outlier with few good reviews that made almost no money. It’s fitting that Netflix is the vehicle for its return, though, because it’s through media avenues like Netflix that so many people found the film and fell in love with it.

The first trailer for Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp has landed, and all your old favorite Camp Firewood friends are back, right down to the talking can of vegetables (H. Jon Benjamin, who narrates). As the title suggests, the series is a prequel to the film, which means actors who were too old to play the young counselors in the first place are now even older while playing characters who are even younger. Paul Rudd is Ant-Man this year, but his greatest acting feat of 2015 might be playing a teen camp counselor at age 46, and that’s just the kind of humor Wet Hot fans love.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp arrives July 31.
