The Tombs
1226 36th Street NW, Washington, D.C.
Georgetown Hoyas

Your first hint that this is not the usual college sports pub is the name, which comes from a T.S. Eliot poem. Then there’s the weird melting pot of Jesuits, tourists and students enjoying trivia nights, free WiFi and a damn good beer list in the brick-lined subterranean space. Maybe best of all, the food—which relies on locally sourced ingredients and includes unsporty choices like butternut squash agnolotti—is pretty good. But make no mistake: The patrons here live and breathe for Hoyas basketball. Just show up during a game (or after, when members of the hoops team like to show up) and watch everyone go nuts.
