The Force Is Strong with These Star Wars Collaborations

The Force Is Strong with These Star Wars Collaborations: via ac worldwide

When Disney purchased Lucasfilm and with that, the Star Wars franchise, for $4 billion in 2012 it wasn’t because Disney CEO Bob Iger had a huge Princess Leia crush. Iger wouldn’t have made the deal if he didn’t think he could make his money back many times over.

The obvious ways that will happen are with more movies and TV shows, starting with the seventh film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which opens on December 18. But Disney isn’t just about selling entertainment, it’s about selling all the stuff that comes along with that entertainment, from Cinderella costumes to Buzz Lightyear backpacks to Mickey Mouse sweatshirts.

With Star Wars, though, Disney is taking things to a galaxy far, far away. On September 4, the hype even got its own unofficial holiday dubbed Force Friday, when new Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys, collectibles, and gadgets were released.

The upside is that there is some truly cool stuff coming out as a result of Star Wars collaborating with a number of unique partners. This isn’t just throwing a picture of Chewbacca on a T-shirt. Many of the items have a considered design that integrates Star Wars into the products in a creative and unique way.

We found the 8 best Star Wars collabs out right now. These will definitely help you get your Star Wars fix until the new movie comes out.
