When US forces raided Osama bin Laden’s compound back in 2011, they catalogued and documented every single object they found inside.

Today, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence revealed that among those objects were a couple of things you might find on any gamer’s shelf: strategy guides.

Not that most gamers would have a guide for the 2009 dud Delta Force: Xtreme 2 on hand, but still. It proves that even terrorists can get stumped by games sometimes.

Bin Laden himself probably wasn’t the one doing most of the gaming, as the guide (and another, unidentified document known only as “Game Spot Videogame Guide”) are listed as “document probably used by other compound residents.”

But assuming that living in a terrorist compound is basically summer camp for extremists, it’s fun to imagine bin Laden’s lackeys trying to sneak one more game in before lights-out. “Ah, come on, boss! We’re doing research…”
