We have an early contender for dad of the year.
Patrick Pipino, from Saratoga Springs, New York, took his two daughters – 12-year-old Isabelle and seven-year-old Sarah – to their first Bruce Springsteen concert.
Of course, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band didn’t get off the stage at a reasonable hour. So when Isabelle was late for school the next day, her father decided the best thing to do was write an honest note about why his daughter was late for class.
Luckily, he posted it for the world to see:

It’s hard to find a flaw in his argument: “This may not seem like a good excuse, but have you ever wondered how many kids would be late — or miss school outright — if God were to suddenly appear? It’s something like that.”
We can’t imaging Isabelle’s teacher had any problem with her tardiness after reading the note.
