At this 2016 Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti spun heads. Following their beloved Veyron, the “Car of the Decade” according to Top Gear, Bugatti brought the thunder with the new flagship ride, the Chiron.
The Chiron, a $2.6-million masterpiece, looks like it’s mid-shift into a Transformer. It’s beautiful and somehow 25% more powerful than the already-badass Veyron, hitting 261 mph where its predecessor hit 253. As company president Wolfgang Dürheimer puts it, “The Chiron is the result of our efforts to make the best even better.”
Dürheimer: “It is part of human nature to cross boundaries and set new records—to run 100 meters faster than ever before, to fly even further into space and to enter new realms. This striving is also our driving force at Bugatti.”
Ready to take to the road with a newly developed 1,500-horsepower W16 engine, the Chiron will blow minds for the limited few that get to glorious chance to thrill behind the wheel of the newborn hypercar that’s like some output of both Heaven and Hell, given that only 500 will be made
