Camila Cabello is following in the footsteps of legendary bombshells Claudia Schiffer, Anna Nicole Smith and Adriana Lima. The former Fifth Harmony member was just announced as the face (and body) of Guess’ Fall 2017 campaign, according to a report from Billboard Style.
The campaign will put Guess’ trademark denim front and center, with oversized jackets, high-wasted jeans and logo tees shot against the backdrop of the sprawling California desert.
“I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Guess on this incredible campaign,” Cabello said in a statement. “I’ve grown up loving their aesthetic and not in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d be lucky enough to be a part of it.“
The announcement caps off a huge couple of weeks for the 20-year-old, who continues to prove that leaving her best-selling girl group was definitely the right career move. After dropping the video for her debut solo single “Crying in The Club,” Cabello made a triumphant live debut at last week’s Billboard Music awards.
The song is the first single from Cabello’s hotly anticipated debut solo album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., which drops on September 22, right around the time Guess’ fall collection hits shelves.
“Camila’s confidence, strength and beauty reflect the qualities I look for in a Guess Girl,” Paul Marciano,Chief Creative Officer of Guess said in a statement. “Choosing Camila to be the face of Guess this fall celebrates that Guess Girls are multi-talented, dynamic and accomplished women.”
