The Kensington Police Service on Prince Edward Island in Canada have a new threat for drunk drivers. According to a post left on their Facebook page, drunk drivers won’t only be subject to the usual penalities, but also a little kick in the eardrums.

“And when we catch you, and we will catch you, on top of a hefty fine, a criminal charge and a years driving suspension we will also provide you with a bonus gift of playing the offices copy of Nickelback in the cruiser on the way to jail.”

It’s nice to see a little sense of humor from the police, even on such a touchy subject. But in the end, they know what message they’re trying to send.

“So please, lets not ruin a perfectly good unopened copy of Nickelback. You don’t drink and drive and we won’t make you listen to it. ”
