Getting hooked up comes in a variety of forms. Maybe a waitress comps your dessert at dinner. Or perhaps you get to jump the line while waiting to buy groceries. Then there’s what happened to YouTube star Casey Neistat recently. Neistat was due to fly from Dubai to New York’s JFK Airport on Emirates Airlines. He already had a fairly luxurious business class ticket for the 14-hour flight but was bumped to first class, and was as giddy about the upgrade as you would expect him to be, putting the occasion on a par with the birth of his children.

A quick search of airfares revealed that the retail price of the ticket from Dubai would normally cost more than $21,000, and Neistat was determined to get his money’s worth. He took full advantage of all the perks available to first class travelers on Emirates. Upon discovering that his private suite had a door that opened and closed at the push of a button, he proceeded to do just that like the kid in his first limo ride who keeps lowering and raising the divider.

Neistat ordered the caviar because if you can have caviar on an airplane anytime you want it, that is what you do. He did, however, out himself as an infrequent first class traveler when he tried to make his own bed (the horror!) before a flight attendant stepped in to finish the job.

Then there’s the shower. Yes, first class passengers can actually shower at 40,000 feet. If you ever wanted to join the mile-high club, this would be the bathroom to do it in.

Neistat wasn’t paid by Emirates to create the video, which has already received 3.6 million views, but we bet that after this, he will receive these kinds of upgrades more often.
