Celebrity Guest Photographer: Jenny McCarthy

It takes one to know one. When 1994's Playmate of the Year told us she had discovered a potential new Playmate, we listened, and we're glad we did. On an episode of Party @ the Palms, host Jenny McCarthy hosted a poolside casting call and selected gorgeous model Jennifer Madden to be her subject. Jenny and her E! crew then whisked Jennifer off to L.A. and joined the Playboy crew at the Playboy Mansion where Jenny assumed her position behind the lens.

With the tables turned and a Playboy supermodel actually taking the snaps, we weren't sure if Jenny would be as explosive behind the camera as she is in so many scorching hot pictorials in the magazine. But we didn't have to wait long for the answer (and that answer is a resounding yes!). With Hef's House as the backdrop and beautiful blonde and busty Jennifer as her model, history was made.

In typical Jenny McCarthy slapstick style, she arrived at she shoot wearing a blue skating tutu, armed with bags full of In-N-Out Burgers, watermelons, a blowup boa constrictor and a two-pound raw flank steak. We knew we were in for an interesting experience. Jenny had just finished shooting a Party @ the Palms segment with hockey star Jeremy Roenick and hadn't had time to change or eat lunch. Still, when it was time for her gig as Playboy Celebrity Guest Photographer, she slipped into something more comfortable and rose to the challenge.

After a quick camera tutorial, Jenny wasted no time getting started around the Mansion's backyard pool. It was as if she was reading our minds when she hollered, "I need to see more boobs!" Hef would have been proud. In friendly fashion, Jennifer obeyed Jenny's command and revealed her knockout body. Her tiny pink polka-dot bikini became an afterthought as Jenny fired shot after shot and built a rapport with her model that most seasoned photographers would envy. "You can't have her too sultry, Hef doesn't like sultry," Jenny directed, with an obvious game plan for the shoot.

The mood of the shoot was about to change. "Okay, where are my watermelons?" Jenny barked. Within minutes Jennifer was sans bikini top but plus two large melons, and this was only the start to the mayhem. Soon the lovely Jennifer was wrestling blowup snakes and dolphins in a shoot that quickly spun out of control as E!'s cameras circled the frenzy trying to capture every moment in and around the pool. When Jenny commanded her crew to break out the fake mustache, butcher apron and raw steak we weren't sure whether to call the health department or the psych ward. Eventually, the focus returned to the task at hand and we were back in business.

As the shoot went on Jenny used her modeling expertise to help newcomer Jennifer strike just the right pose. Jenny arched and threw back her head showing Jennifer what to do. Both model and photographer gained confidence in themselves and each other with every click of the camera shutter, and we knew we were going to end up with sexy, if not "too sultry," photos worthy of Playboy. As the sun set and the shoot wrapped for the day we knew we had all experienced just a typical day in the life of Jenny McCarthy.
