Yes, a new Vacation movie really is happening, but it’s not a remake so much as it’s Vacation: The Next Generation. Feeling that his family is in a rut, Clark Griswold’s son Rusty (Ed Helms) decides to re-invigorate things by taking his wife and kids on a road trip to Wally World, just like his family did when he was a boy (and looked like Anthony Michael Hall). Of course, a variety of mishaps and shenanigans ensue along the way, because it turns out Rusty grew up to be just as stubborn and naive as his father.
The trailer shows off several of the film’s biggest, raunchiest gags, including a “hot spring” that turns out to be something much dirtier and a discussion of rimjobs. The undisputed star of this trailer, though, is Chris Hemsworth, who shows up as a character named “Stone Crandall” and nonchalantly shows off his very substantial, um…hammer of the gods.
Vacation is in theaters July 29.
