This Clip-On Man Bun Is The Dumbest Groupon Deal Ever

This Clip-On Man Bun Is The Dumbest Groupon Deal Ever: via groupon

Just when you thought we’d reached peak man bun, Groupon has gone and offered a deal for a clip-on version.

Even though there are so many other cool hairstyles out there, men insist on keeping the man bun trend alive, even under threat of punishment. And since some guys just can’t wait for their hair to grow long enough to be secured in a top knot, Groupon is offering a shortcut.

The clip-on man bun secures to your head with bobby pins so you can attach it and detach it depending on the situation. As the description notes, that functionality allows you to “blend in with your surroundings, putting it on when you smell fair-trade coffee or hear a banjo, and taking it off when someone utters the word bro.”

The instructions for using the Clip In Man Bun are very specific and, as is to be expected, artisanal:

  1. Comb your hair back toward the crown of your head, in a similar motion to lacquering a reclaimed-wood coffee table
  2. Attach the man bun to your natural hair the way the lay public attached itself to Arcade Fire
  3. Use bobby pins to secure the man bun, decide bobby pins are too mainstream, use antique paper clips instead.

The clip-on man bun is made of artificial hair, which only makes it worse, and comes in a blond and brunette version. It is on sale right now for $9.99, an 85% discount off the stated $65.34 retail value. (If you’re the kind of person who would spend $65.34 on a clip-on man bun, we feel really bad for you.)
