You know, not enough people wear clothes that represent their hobbies. Sure, that’s what sports jerseys and concert T-shirts are for, but when’s the last time you saw a foodie walking down the street wearing a polo shirt with a spatula on it, or an accountant showing off his love of numbers by rocking like, a calculator hat? Probably never. We should all be proud enough of our favorite pastimes to wear ‘em on our clothes for the rest of the world to see.
That’s why I’m fully on board with Coach’s new retro fall collection: a unisex line of space exploration-inspired threads for serious NASA fans. If you’ve seen every episode of Cosmos and have a trip to Cape Canaveral lined up this summer, these are the clothes for you.
The SPACE Varsity Jacket, for example, comes with vintage NASA patches depicting eagles and rockets. Then there’s the Rocket Crewneck Sweater, a lightweight wool piece that features a spaceship sailing through asteroids. How about a shirt with all the planets on it, or a tee depicting a dinosaur in a helmet and jetpack?
The possibilities are endless. I wonder if Neil deGrasse Tyson knows about this yet.
I haven’t found a good answer for why Coach Space exists, but then again, I don’t really need one, because dinosaur astronauts are dope. Peep the whole collection here.
