College hook ups We assumed that college kids were hooking up a lot more nowadays, but apparently they’re not. In fact, recent research shows that the older generations were more prone to partaking in one-night stands than college students today! The only major difference seems to be that fewer people are going steady in the earlier years of post secondary education, but that’s related to women marrying later; the average age for marriage has risen to 27. “Our results provide no evidence that there has been a sea change in the sexual behavior of college students or that there has been a significant liberalization of attitudes towards sex,” explained University of Portland sociology professor Martin Monto. “The alarmist concerns that ‘easy sex is rampant on college campuses today’ are not justified and are largely based on cross-sectional research and misconceptions.” Watch the video on Buzzfeed.comSex, money and happiness

Happiness has always been linked to a well-paying job and a steady amount of sex, but did you ever think the two may be connected? A study released in late July suggests that the higher your pay grade, the more sex you’re having. The author of the study, Nick Drydakis, discovered that people who have sex four times or more a week earn more than their less sexually active coworkers at a very noticeable percentage. “So to recap: More sex makes you healthier and happier. A professor at Rutgers University managed to measure the blood flow of the brains of climaxing women and found that orgasms boosted brain activity more than crossword puzzles.
