These Artists Drew Iconic Comic Book Heroes with Realistic Body Types

Most things in comic books are not possible. Believe it or not, there are not people who can fly around and are impervious to bullets. But one of the more unrealistic aspects are the body shapes of the superheroes. A group of artists worked with Bulimia.org to photoshop pictures of iconic comic book characters and give them bodies that are more likely to be seen in the real world. Their intent is to show that these are impossible ideals of fitness and for people to see these as obtainable can lead to unhealthy habits. Check out the images they drew:

Honestly the characters look far less ridiculous. And they still look like they can kick ass. Maybe the pros should adopt these techniques.
