Corona is known for its breezy, beachy ads where no one is puking up blood and screaming in furious agony as they crawl around gargling for help. But, hey, that might change now, since the golden Mexi-beer is being recalled for potentially having glass as a recent and accidental ingredient.
Following routine inspections at two Anheuser-Busch InBev breweries, Constellation Brands Inc., owner of all things Corona in the United States, announced this week that some 12-ounce bottles of the beer were being recalled due to potentially containing small pieces of glass. Luckily, the problem didn’t make it too far, as the troublemaking bottles make up less than a tenth of 1 percent of Corona Extra 12-ounce clear bottles.
No customers have been injured yet due to glass. However, it seems like Corona is still responsible for hazy bad decision making if consumed in excess.
Here’s what to be on the lookout for, according to their official statement.
