Well, that’s embarrassing.

A German couple was in the throes in Austria when their van toppled into an adjacent river. The 49-year-old driver and his 42-year-old girlfriend, while certainly dealing with all sorts of issues, were physically fine after they swam to safety.

Less can be said for the river’s ecosystem, which was likely somewhat affected by the abrupt addition of a motor vehicle. It took firefighters about three hours to remove the van from the river with a crane.

Maybe next time, they’ll consider parking their van somewhere a little more secure. Or, perhaps, having sex somewhere other than a van.
