Crossing the Streams: TV to Watch Online – Keegan-Michael Key, Superheroes and More!:

What’s new on Hulu? Amazing on Amazon? Binge-worthy on Netflix? Crossing the Streams spans the web to find the best TV shows and specials freshly available to watch online. You’re welcome!

If you haven’t gotten your fill of Marvel from The Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man and can’t wait for next month’s Fantastic Four, check out the second season of Disney XD’s animated superhero show. Watch for cartoon cameos by Nick Fury, Ghost Rider, Captain America, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, among others. Guest voices include Drake & Josh grad Drake Bell (Spider-Man), Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons (reprising his big-screen role as Peter Parker’s editor, J. Jonah Jameson), and Stan Lee (as the Mayor). ‘Nuff said!

Get ready for more cartoon crimefighters, as Seth Meyers’ super-spoof rolls out its second season… in Spanish! The third season premieres in English on September 8, but in the meantime, while you won’t hear Meyers and his SNL buddies, Professor Doctor Awesome is voiced by Eugenio Derbez — writer, director and star of last year’s sleeper hit Instructions Not Included. Como se dice, “Awesome”?

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele just announced the current fifth season of their Comedy Central sketch show Key & Peele will be its last, but look no further for proof that Key can be funny on his own than this high-larious mockumentary. Key plays Principal Ronald Douche (pronounced “Dow-shay”), who runs L.A.’s riotous Truman High School. Key’s also got an uproarious scene in the new Vacation movie. Your move, Peele.

GLEE: SEASON 6 (Netflix)
Further high-school high jinks ensue in the final season of Fox’s musical comedy. Rachel (Lea Michele) returns to coach the reinstated Glee Club, and the guest roster encompasses everyone from Carol Burnett (as the mother of Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester) and Harry Hamlin (as the sugar-daddy love interest of Chris Colfer’s Kurt) to Michael Bolton and Geraldo Rivera (as themselves). Listen for covers of “Let It Go” from Frozen and “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors. Glee, we hardly knew ye!

ER and Doctor Who vet Alex Kingston co-stars in this four-part British mystery. She’s a soft-hearted criminal analyst who’s paired with an eccentric genius (is there any other kind?) played by Reece Shearsmith as part of a missing-persons unit tracking serial killers. A new episode premieres every Monday through August 17 on Acorn TV.
