Crossing the Streams: TV to Watch Online — Masters of Sex, Chris Tucker and More!:

What’s new on Hulu? Amazing on Amazon? Binge-worthy on Netflix? Crossing the Streams spans the web to find the best TV shows and specials freshly available to watch online. You’re welcome!

MASTERS OF SEX (Hulu)
With Hulu’s new deal to stream episodes of Showtime’s current series starting one day after they air comes access to the third season of the period drama about pioneering sex researchers Bill Masters (Michael Sheen) and Virginia Johnson (Emmy nominee Lizzy Caplan). As their on- and off-the-job relationship continues to grow more complex, Lost alum Maggie Grace joins the cast as a gynecologist who joins the team after an unexpected development screws up their plans to go public with their findings.

RAY DONOVAN (Hulu)
Along with Masters of Sex arrives its Showtime companion piece, the hard-boiled crime drama starring Liev Schreiber as a Hollywood fixer whose own family keeps getting him into jams. The third season adds Deadwood vet Ian McShane to the cast as a bigwig who hires Ray to clean up his clan’s messes, including Katie Holmes as his ruthless sports-agent daughter. She’s a long way from Dawson’s Creek.

CHRIS TUCKER LIVE (Netflix)
As we wait for the mercurial comedian to make another Rush Hour movie, or another Friday movie, or hell, any movie (we’d even take another supporting role like his underrated turn in Silver Linings Playbook), he releases his first stand-up special, filmed on location in his hometown of Atlanta. Topics include marriage and Michael Jackson. His impression of the King of Pop telling Chris to calm down during his cameo in the “Rock My World” video will rock yours.

SHIMONETA: A BORING WORLD WHERE THE CONCEPT OF DIRTY JOKES DOESN’T EXIST (Hulu)
This NSFW anime series takes place in a country where lewdness is banned, leading a student-council vice-president to don panties as a mask and start committing acts of public obscenity as a kind of revolt. Now that’s the kind of cause we can get behind. Japanamaniacs may also want to check out two more subtitled series that have just bowed on Hulu, Gangsta and Snow White and the Red Hair.

VIOLETTA: SEASONS 1-2 (Netflix)
For much squeakier-clean international fun, check out this Disney Channel Latin America telenovela about an Argentinian teenager (Martina Stoessel) who returns to her homeland after spending time in Europe with her father (Diego Ramos). She discovers her musical talents — her mom was a worldwide pop star who was killed in an auto accident — and two potential boyfriends who battle for her affections. Bonus: No reading required for this one; the show has been dubbed into English.
