In the new issue of People magazine, self-esteem superhero Demi Lovato says, “I’m in a really good place right now.” That’s for sure. Not only has the 24-year-old singer been sober for five years, she’s in amazing shape, her music career is going strong, and she just partnered with Kate Hudson’s company, Fabletics, to launch a line of fitness clothing.
In a post on the Fabletics website earlier this week, Hudson gushed about Lovato, “I remember being so impressed by how intelligent, accomplished and confident she was, even at such a young age. I loved her spirit, her honesty and how she was open to showing vulnerability, because that shows so much strength.”
It makes total sense for Lovato to have her own line of workout gear. She likes to let people know she exercises on a regular basis, even when she’s touring, to keep herself healthy and happy. Still, like anyone else, she occasionally has bad days. She revealed to People that when she’s feeling down, she gives herself pep talks, to the surprise of no one who’s ever read anything else about her. “I talk positively to myself in the mirror. As awkward and uncomfortable as it can be, it can be really self-assuring. I also talk to people around me. But getting in the gym makes me feel the best I possibly can, so I make sure I get that in.”
