presents Part 2 of our favorite models from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. If you missed Part 1 last week, which featured some of our favorite sports and luxury models; then check them out here.

This week however, we bring you three awesome models that are bound to get you excited for the fall. The first of these is the 2013 Chevy Sonic RS, a fast little hatchback that isn’t afraid to take risks. Next up is the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, a two-model sporty mid-level that will appeal to both enthusiasts and new speed fans (especially at two projected pricing levels). Last but not least is the latest edition to the MINI franchise: the Roadster. This ultra-customizable two-seater is fun, fast, and won’t break the bank. *****2013 Chevy Sonic RS*

Almost identical in frame to its predecessor, the Aveo; the Chevy Sonic line offers a lot of cool features in a small package. This year introduces the semi-sports badging of the line with the RS variant. Debuting late this fall, the RS will feature a Sonic 1.4-Liter Ecotec engine that has a turbocharged powertrain, the first in its class to do so. With custom 17-inch rims, rear spoiler, and sporty body kit; this 138-horsepower adventure car is a lot of fun with a reasonable price tag.

Hyundai builds upon its Genesis line with the new Coupe version featured in Detroit this year. Featuring two models that will open it up to a larger audience; the first is a powerful direct fuel injection V6, packing a whopping 348 horses under its hood that gives it 295 pounds of torque at 5, 300 rpm. The toned-down model features an inter-cooled 2.0-Litre 4-cylinder that still gives it an impressive 274 horsepower and 275 pounds of torque. The beauty of this vehicle is the sport-tuned chassis to match the contained powertrains. This is accomplished by mounting the dual-link (front) suspension onto a solid subframe to increase strength and decrease weight; and adding front and back stabilizers which in turn benefits the cars maximum handling. Watch for price and availability later this year.

The Playboy Stats:

ENGINE:3.8-Liter V6 engine with direct-injection or 2.0-Liter 4-cylinder turbocharged
