Fans of the movie Interstellar take note, because a black hole that is similar to the one articulated in the film has been officially documented.
Once thought to be a powerful super nova, scientists studied the phenomenon for nearly ten months. During this period, they discovered that a nearby star had actually been sucked into the black hole, and that the star’s remains were circling it. This means that the black hole is most likely a spinning black hole, since the star’s remains wouldn’t be circling without the extra centrifugal force.
