While some of us dream of just owning an apartment in Hollywood, celebrities like 1920s silent film darling Delores Del Rio own sprawling mansions and estates in the coveted Hills. The Hollywood starlet built this Spanish style hacienda in 1928 at the height of her career, and it’s now up for sale for a cool $5.3 million. The estate’s 5 bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms have been luxuriously updated, but the home still features some old Hollywood glamour like hand-forged iron lattices and carved Cantera stonework.
And with 15-foot ceilings and a 40-foot covered porch that connects the interior to the massive pool and spa, this property is worth the cash (if you casually have that lying around, of course.) It’s no surprise the house is so badass, considering Del Rio was once married to art director and Oscar statuette designer Cedric Gibbons. Build me a house, please?
