They treat municipal vehicles a little differently in Dubai. Instead of Crown Vics, the police force in the United Arab Emirates capital has access to a fleet of supercars that includes a Bugatti Veyron. Now Dubai Ambulance has added a Lotus Evora to its livery.

The Evora has a top speed of 160 miles per hour and is outfitted with 60 percent of the medical equipment that a full-size ambulance has. The thinking behind the Lotus is that if it can reach an emergency faster than a traditional ambulance can, then it has a better chance of helping injured victims.

As Wired points out, the savings in response time that the Lotus provides probably wouldn’t make much of a difference in a life or death situation. Still, if you’re going to need an ambulance, why not show up to the hospital in a fresh whip?
