It looks like we may get to see the dynamic duo of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito back in action someday soon, this time joined by Eddie Murphy. The three stars are in talks to (finally) do a sequel to the 1988 film Twins.

The idea for the sequel—obviously called Triplets—was announced in early 2012, but now seems to be taking on some legitimacy. On last week’s Howard Stern, Schwarzenegger gave the rundown.

“Now we are talking about a sequel, where we find out at the funeral of our mother, that when we read the will, there’s three of us. Eddie Murphy is going to be the third one, and so they go, ‘How did that happen?’ There’s an African-American coming in here and, all of a sudden, he’s our brother. So we go to do the research, but he can only get the money if we find him, so now we have to get him involved.”

According to Schwarzenegger, it sounds like Murphy is pretty damn onboard.

“Eddie Murphy loves the idea. Danny DeVito and I had lunch with Eddie Murphy over at my house, and we talked about the thing, and we were laughing and laughing the whole meal through because it was such a funny idea. And of course, who wouldn’t like it.”

Back in January, co-writers Josh Gad and Ryan Dixon said that the script was completed, through pre-production was paused by Universal, as they figure out next steps.

In the meantime, the internet’s sure going to pile up with attempts at photoshopping fake movie posters with Eddie Murphy in that famous tan suit.
