Emily Ratajkowski Naked While Riding a Horse is Literally a Vision from Heaven

In Mona Kuhn’s recent photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar, universally acknowledged super woman Emily Ratajkowski is radiant, naked, and riding a white horse. She looks like a damn princess character if some 14-year-old boy tried to write his own version of Narnia. She’s confident and tranquil in what is a person’s most vulnerable choice of wardrobe and I will likely never get over the intricacies of such a straight-forward shot. I hope this becomes the photographic equivalent of Mona Lisa.

Yet, beyond Ms. Ratajkowski’s pictorial pumping sunshine through our veins, it’s her interview with Promiscuities: The Secret Struggle for Womanhood author Naomi Wolf that ends up being just as, if not more so, eye-catching. In it, the model-actress opens up about having the curves of an adult woman by the end of puberty and her topless selfie with Kim Kardashian, which came after the whining of Piers Morgan, who is terrible and consistently has the opinion of a drunk uncle at Thanksgiving.

The interview is a highlight reel of poised observations about sexuality in a social media world, including the following.

“When I post a selfie and someone comments, ‘Oh, sure, go ahead and reclaim your sexuality, I got my rocks off,’ that’s not my problem.”

Ratajkowski dives into the double standard that strips away the availability of women being allowed their own sexual power.

ER: That’s something we really forget in this world, especially in my industry and being in the public eye as a female. There’s this idea that if a man enjoys a photograph of a nude woman or if he likes your short skirt, he’s taking something away from you.

NW: Yeah, that’s unfortunate.

ER: It’s not right. Sex is normal. Desire is normal. Attention is normal, and that’s okay. That’s really what slut shaming is, right? You talk about this in your book Promiscuities. A woman talks about having sex, and it’s like, well, a guy got to have sex with you, so you’re stupid. You’ve given something up.

She’s wonderful, duh.

And she’s not always riding a horse to save some fantasy queendom. She just takes good pictures all the time.
