Facetime with Loni Rae:

Playboy.com: How did you become involved with Playboy.com?

I used to do some modeling for liquor brands and I was at an event and a Playboy employee gave me his card, and I didn’t believe him so I threw it away! He caught me so he came and handed me his card again. He was like, “I swear it’s real, look me up!” so I looked him up and he was legit. This is also the time they were doing the Playboy Golf tournaments in Denver, Colorado and then next thing I know I’m at the Playboy Mansion and then next thing I know I’m doing a photo shoot on the tennis court.

Playboy.com: What was the Playboy Mansion and Hugh Hefner like?

The Mansion was great. Hef came down for my photo shoot on the tennis court to watch. He’s actually really nice, very quiet and so sweet. With all these beautiful girls around him you’d think he’d be super ecstatic, but he’s so used to it. My favorite Playmate is Holly Madison; she is the biggest sweetheart. I met her briefly at the Mansion and she’s such a kid at heart, I love it.

Playboy.com: Was this your first time doing nude modeling?

I’ve done bikini shoots in the past, and I’m more comfortable nude in front of the camera than with clothes on. I love it.

Playboy.com: What is the sexiest thing that has happened on set?

There was one shoot that should be coming out soon that was pretty hot. I have on my little nerd glasses so I think it should be pretty cool.

{"pbembedwidget":"video","id":"4932"}Playboy.com: In your behind-the-scenes video you mention you played football on a powderpuff team. What does this mean?

I do! They don’t let us tackle; it’s a flag football league. I love football and I love sports. My favorite team are the Broncos. I don’t know how happy I am with them now, but they’re definitely my favorite!

*Playboy.com: Are people intimidated by your football skills? *

I think what they’re even more intimidated by are my golf skills. I’m a good golfer; I can definitely outswing a few people. I play more for fun; there are a lot of tournaments in Denver.

*Playboy.com: What makes you feel sexiest? *

Working out makes me feel sexiest. It really gets my blood pressure going, and I love fitness gear and wearing that definitely makes me feel sexy. Plus the sweating and energy involved in it…I love it.

Playboy.com: Do you have a favorite piece of lingerie?

A blue silk cami. Blue always makes my eyes pop, and it’s the most comfy, sexy piece of lingerie that I own.

Playboy.com: How do we win you over?

I’m kind of old-fashioned; hold open my door for me, take me on a date, treat me like a lady, that wins me over more than anything else.

*Playboy.com: What is your greatest unfulfilled fantasy? *

Well….Bradley Cooper would have a part in that. That would definitely be my biggest unfulfilled fantasy.

What draws me to men in general? They have to be funny; definitely sex appeal has to be a big part of it. I’m a fan of strong jawlines, but having a big personality and sense of humor is a big part of it. If you’ve got the worst personality your looks don’t matter anymore. I’m a nerd at heart so I have to have someone that can laugh with me.

Playboy.com: Can you share any of these geekisms with us?

I’m such a nerd. I don’t like stress, so if there’s a high-stress situation I just end up doing goofy things to break it up a bit. For example, Nappy Roots was on stage the other day and I jumped on stage with them. Anything to lighten the mood, I’ll do it.

Playboy.com: What is something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

Probably the fact that I have two careers and I am very, very intelligent. Also the fact that I have children.

Playboy.com: You mentioned earlier you like dancing; do you have a favorite sexy-time song?

It’s funny, I can get kind of ghetto with my music. The song “Bandz A Make Her Dance”by Juicy J is probably one of the most ghetto, dirty songs, I love it. It’s got a great beat.

*Playboy.com: Tell us about your best date and worst date ever. *

My worst date would be when I recently went on a date with someone who took me to an ’80s hair band. It was great but I felt like the entire crowd was my parents’ friends. It was so awkward. The band was great, but I remember doing my hair like these people still had theirs in the ’80s with the big bangs and the side part. It wasn’t the most exciting ever but it was creative, I’ll give him that.

The best date I have ever been on was when I went to the mountains with my boyfriend at the time and we went skating over a real lake that had frozen over, had dinner and went in an outdoor hot tub under the Colorado stars.

*Playboy.com: What are your goals for 2013? *

I’ve always been active in the gym, but this year I’d like to get a lot more fit and focus on the health aspect. Looking beautiful is always important but of course that comes from the inside as well so I’ll be focusing on eating better as well. I’ll be turning 30 this year, and things shift. It’s important to stay on top of everything.

Playboy.com: 2012 has just wrapped up. What is the greatest lesson you’ve taken from it?

The more successful you are, the more you’re going to have to be able to take criticism. I am a perfectionist and I always want everything to be just perfect. I have to realize that especially in this industry there is going to be a lot of opinions. So there’s going to be a lot of good opinions and bad opinions; you have to learn to grow from them and not take them to heart.
