After sufficient teasing, the big one has finally arrived: as of this morning, Fallout 4 is officially official, officially.

Fallout 4 is one of the most anticipated games ever, thanks to the success of past games in the series and the long wait fans have had to endure.

Publisher Bethesda released an announcement trailer that seems to confirm numerous rumors bouncing around the gaming community that the game would take place in Boston. The USS Constitution (which seems to have some pirate airship upgrades), the ruined Bunker Hill Monument and Paul Revere’s monument all make appearances in this trailer.

Bethesda is saving the rest of the details for its big E3 press conference later this month. We know the game is being made by the internal Bethesda Game Studios and directed by Todd Howard, the people responsible for Fallout 3 and Skyrim. That makes it pretty clear that players can expect Fallout 4 to be very similar to Bethesda Game Studios’ other titles, in terms of aesthetics and gameplay.

One positive takeaway from the trailer: Bethesda actually included some colors in this game. Right off the bat that makes the world seem more exciting than Fallout 3, the color palette for which ranged from “brown” to “uglier brown.”

Fallout 4 is headed to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. No word on a release date yet, but Bethesda is set to reveal more information at its press conference on June 14.
