We’ve found our perfect girl for Valentine’s Day! Sure, she may already be the sexy sidekick of Chris Hardwick, who happens to be our 20Q interview this month, but we’re sure he’s up for sharing Chloe Dykstra with the internet, right?

Dykstra is the whole package. As you can tell from her image above, where she channeled her inner huntress and posed as Aela from Skyrim, she’s one hell of a cosplayer; she’s known for her openness toward sex and porn (her tweets are littered with hilarious anecdotes about traveling with vibrators, and her vlog once recapped a pizza-and-porn night she had with her girlfriends); and, if you haven’t noticed by now, she is drop-dead gorgeous.

While she raced across an airport to catch a flight, we talked with Dykstra about gaming, cosplay and what it takes to keep it together upon meeting Valve’s Gabe Newell.

Playboy.com: What got you into gaming?

Dykstra: Originally my friend and I used to play Super Mario at his house, and I really wanted my own NES but my mom, she’s the kind of mom that had all sorts of healthy food and stuff in the house so she was like “NO! You cannot have video games, you’re a child! Children should play outside!” Eventually my begging worked; we rented it. Yes, back in the day you could rent entire consoles from Blockbuster so we rented an N64. So my dad and I, who didn’t really have a great relationship when I was younger mainly because I was a super angsty kid intimidated by big people—my dad is like 6’4”—but we came together over Mario 64. And my mom saw that I’d run home from school and we’d get on the N64 and play, and eventually she succumbed and bought my own N64 for Christmas.

Playboy.com: So reviewing games was your calling.

Dykstra: Well I grew up in L.A., so I figured there was one course of action if you don’t go to college, which is to go into the industry somehow. And so I tried a bunch of things: I went to a few film programs while playing games throughout all of it and didn’t realize until I met a group of people who had the same interest as I did, who were doing a web series called There Will Be Brawl, which is basically a really dark Sin City-esque version of Super Mario Bros., and I got to know them a little bit better and I realized that anybody with a computer can review games. It was a really crazy revelation for me because I wanted to be that!

*Playboy.com: *Do you feel that it is a constant battle being a super-hot chick that also kicks ass at games?

*Dykstra: *No, and I think that’s where a lot of girls screw up because honestly I just do what I enjoy doing. And if somebody comes to me and says “You’re not a real gamer,” well, I don’t really care what you think. Just do it, you know? I’ve been playing games for so long I feel like I am doing legitimate reviews and I know my stuff! I’m really excited for The Last of Us since anything from Naughty Dog is good. BioShock Infinite really excites me too!

Playboy.com: You also host Just Cos on the Nerdist Channel. What’s your favorite part of cosplay?

Dykstra: I like the fact that it’s something we all wanted to do as a kid. Everyone dresses up as Spider-Man or a princess and you get to do that without judgment in this culture and I always love that.

Playboy.com: I haven’t heard the podcast yet, but I heard you had the chance to talk with Gabe Newell on the Nerdist Podcast. Is he as magical as I imagine him to be?

Dykstra:[Laughs] Oh my god! You know, it’s so funny because I was so super socially awkward in high school, like really bad, and I just felt all of that returning when I was sitting across from Gabe. He’s brilliant, completely brilliant. It was kind of hard to follow everything that was coming out of his mouth, but it was like sitting in front of a prophet—maybe I’m hyping it up but it was everything I imagined it would be. I would just sit there for ten minutes while they talked and try to remember the question I had in my head because it was so surreal.

Playboy.com: What’s on the horizon for you?

Dykstra: I’m still doing my show, Chicks with Joysticks, and I’m still working with Nerdist for more Just Cos episodes; we’re switching up the format of it, actually, so that’s cool. I’m also going to be working on another show called Pen & Paper & Laser Guns that’s going to be really fun. It’s basically a web series that follows a Dungeons & Dragons-esque guild along with the drama and funny stuff that happens with people that play it.

Playboy.com: Lightning round! What is your favorite:

What is your favorite city: Portland.

Drink: Soy green tea latte.

Food: Oh this one is hard! Taramosalata, it’s a Greek food.

Embarrassing moment: That’s really hard to ask me because I have so many of them! I tripped and fell down the stairs on my Prom Day.

Awkward pickup line: Hey, do you like jewels? Suck my dick; it’s a gem!
