You might not have read the smutty series yourself, but your partner probably has. I speak, of course, of Fifty Shades of Grey. While the books and films were far from critically-acclaimed, they both proved successful among the masses, and if nothing else, the novels’ influence has opened our collective minds to the prospect and normalization of kink. Let’s give credit where credit is due.

The Washington Post reported research from IBISWorld that attributed 7.5 percent of the sex toy industry’s growth in 2013 to the series (the first novel of the series, Fifty Shades of Grey, was published in 2011). It’s a pretty significant figure, considering the industry is worth about $610 million. Subsequently, researchers found the number of Americans who require medical assistance for sex toy injuries has doubled since 2007, 83 percent of which called for “foreign body removal.”

Now, with Fifty Shades Freed set for release February of 2018, author E.L. James is hoping to cash in on her influence. The best-selling author has collaborated with sex toy manufacturer Lovehoney on an exclusive collection designed around the tome’s third and final tale. The 17 items in the collection range from $20 to $150 and include everything for all types, from robes (vanilla) to nipple and clitoral chains (definitely not vanilla). With a variety of toys to choose from, I sifted through the collection to select the best of the best.

Fifty Shades Freed Come to Bed Rechargeable Slimeline Rabbit Vibrator
There are two types of vibrators I hear time and time again are the best: rabbit-style and wand-style. And it just so happens Lovehoney’s Fifty Shades Freed collection offers both. If I were to suggest one of the two, it would be the Rechargeable Slimeline Rabbit Vibrator as it encompasses smooth contours that aid in insertion while the curved tip simultaneously stimulates the G-spot. And don’t be threatened by sex toys, guys. Research from the Kinsey Institute found women who use vibrators “experience higher levels of desire, arousal lubrication and orgasm.” That means better sex, my friend. And more of it. But if you want in on some of the action as well, the collection’s rabbit-style cock ring makes for a good compromise.

Fifty Shades Freed I Want you. Now. Steel Love Ring
This item is intriguing. A powerful vibrator hidden in a discrete and asexual piece of jewelry? Sign me up. Lovehoney insists the ring heralds “super-size stimulation,” and because my experiences with their products have been generally positive, I’m going to go ahead and believe them. Here’s my suggestion: the next time you have to attend a wedding, don the band, put your hand under those linens and presto! The affair just got a lot more exciting.

Fifty Shades Freed Pleasure Overload 10 Days of Play Gift Set
As mentioned, I’ve had good experiences with Lovehoney products, but my latest was undoubtedly the best. The item Lovehoney Sexploration Kit (see it here) is a whole lot of fun for play. This Fifty Shades Freed set is similar but tailored to the film. Each day, you and your partner open a window on the sizeable box to reveal an exciting new sex toy. You and your partner are then encouraged to test the toy out that evening and carry this trend out for ten days. Think of it as an adult advent calendar (and Christmas is getting close so you might as well treat it as such).

Fifty Shades Freed Feel So Alive Rechargeable Vibrating Pleasure Plug
Say what you want about prostate stimulation, but it has gotten a lot more popular, which speaks to its benefits and gives credence to its lore. In 2016, Lelo, a luxury sex toy brand, cited a 200 percent increase in anal toys for men and predicted that figure double the following year. A survey from the company revealed 71 percent of straight men in a relationship have tried or admitted they’d like to try prostate massage. Plus, eight in ten women would perform a prostate massage on their partner. This anal item from Lovehoney, tailored for both beginner and experienced users, is a keeper A good bang for your buck.
