A youth football coach in New Jersey recently tried to cancel the remainder of his team’s season because he was fed up with his players’ bad attitudes and ongoing displays of poor sportsmanship.
One player’s dad did not dig this approach to character building or whatever, so he ran across the field and tackled the coach. The men fought on the ground until bystanders separated them, according to ABC News.
For his display of heads up tackling, the father has been charged with simple assault.
Add this to the always growing list that youth football coaches and overbearing sports dads are often crazy people.
