A Former Colombian Drug Cartel Leader and a Police Officer Posed Topless to Support Peace: Soho Magazine

Peace is a beautiful thing. In a world where there’s so much hate and fighting and carnage all around us, it’s important to appreciate those who advocate positivity and love. This message is especially special when it’s done in the form of two stunning naked women cuddling one another. How does this awesome image signify peace? Because one of those women is a former Colombian drug cartel leader, and the other is the police woman who was investigating her gang. And now, they’re coming together to show the world that everyone can learn to get along. It’s not just an insanely hot photo shoot, but the message is also incredibly important.

The drug lord is none other than Ana Pacheco, a former senior member of the FARC cartel (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – People’s Army). The former detective, who worked for Colombia’s Security Department and was given the task of taking down Ana’s cartel, is Isabel Londono.

Pacheco eventually gave up the drug-dealing lifestyle to focus on a more wholesome one: modeling. According to an interview she did with a local radio station, “It’s been very important for my life, the image is about being at peace, and what’s more beautiful than two women from the opposite sides doing it. It’s time to ask for forgiveness from those I hurt during my time as a guerrilla.”

Londono was a little more surprised by the photo shoot idea, although she was totally on board. As she told the Daily Mail, “At first I was surprised when they asked me to pose with hardly any clothes on with a guerrilla, but I liked the message and we in Colombia are so used to strong images that we needed to do something shocking to reach the people and show them there is a way to peace.”

The photos were for the latest issue of Soho Magazine.
